How do I print or make photocopies in the library?

Printing is available from any of the computers within the John T. Richardson Library’s Information Commons and from the Loop Library using the Intelliprint system used by all DePaul computer labs.  Students can also print from their own devices using the iPrint From Anywhere Service.

John T. Richardson Library’s Information Commons

1st Floor:  Four Intelliprint stations are available in the East, West, and Central areas of the first floor

2nd Floor: One intelliprint station is attached to the computer lab on the second floor. 

Loop Library

Two intelliprint stations are available in the Loop Computer lab. 

Printing Cost:  $.08/page

Color Printing:  Campus Copy Centers offer color printing services.The library does not have a color printer.


Students, faculty and staff can use copy machines available in the library. 

John T. Richardson Library’s Information Commons

1st Floor
One student copier - west near circutation desk
One Faculty/Staff copier - east

2nd Floor
Room 207 includes three student copiers and one faculty/staff copier one of which offers the ability to scan to a flash drive.   

Loop Library

The Loop Library offers 1 copier for students and 2 copiers for faculty and staff, including one color copier/scanner. 

Photocopying (Color and B&W)

  • $.10/page for B&W; $.40/page for Color


Contact the Help Desk (312-362-8765) to initiate the refund process. You will need a receipt from the Value Transfer Station. Unfortunately, the Libraries cannot give refunds or change for money deposited into a Value Transfer Station.

Visitor Info

Visitors can purchase a card and add money to the card for photocopying purposes at any Value Transfer Station. Machines are located in photocopying stations at both libraries. 

In order to print or photocopy in the library, you must have either a DePaul ID or a visitors card with Demon Express money on it. Machines do not accept cash or coins.  Students are allotted $12 in free printing each quarter.
